Man With Gun At Manassas Mall, School Grounds Charged: Police
A man seen with a gun at Manassas Mall was captured on the grounds of an elementary school, Prince William County police said.
MANASSAS, VA — An armed man seen in an argument at Manassas Mall Saturday fled to the grounds of a Manassas school, where he was caught by officers, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
The suspect was identified as Tasheem Rashad Douglas, 20 of Manassas, who faces several charges, including possession of a firearm on school property, a police news release said.
Officers were called to Manassas Mall, 8300 Sudley Road, to investigate a report of weapons being brandished. Douglas and an unidentified man were seen arguing in the mall when police said Douglas brandished a firearm before leaving.

Police saw Douglas run onto the grounds of Westgate Elementary School, where he was detained.
He also faces charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of a loaded firearm in public areas, and carrying a concealed weapon, police said.

Douglas is being held on a $5,000 secured bond.
