Man Killed In Manassas Shooting; Police Searching For Suspect
A 25-year-old man was killed and another was injured Friday night after a confrontation with the suspect, police said.
MANASSAS, VA — Police are searching for a person they say shot and killed a 25-year-old man Friday night in Manassas. Another man was also injured in the shooting.
Prince William County police were called to the area of Sudley Manor Drive and Williamson Boulevard just before 8:30 p.m. to investigate a shooting.
According to police, Dalton J. Moore, 25, was in the area with another man when they were approached by the suspect. After a brief exchange, the suspect took out a gun and shot at Moore and the other man before fleeing.

Both men were hit, according to police, and Moore died a short time later at the scene. The second man was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive, police said.
According to police, the suspect got into a light-colored sedan after the shooting. Authorities described him as a heavy-set Hispanic male with short, dark hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black shorts.
