Man Shot In Manassas, Suspect Charged: Police
A Manassas man was arrested and charged in connection with shooting that left a 24-year-old victim with life-threatening injuries.
MANASSAS, VA — A shooting in Manassas left a 24-year-old man with life-threatening injuries, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities said they have arrested a man and charged him in connection with the shooting.
The incident was reported to police just before 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10. Officers responded to the scene at the Barrington Apartments in the 10600 block of Blendia Lane in Manassas.
When they arrived, officers claimed they found two men in an apartment. One of the men, who was later identified as a 24-year-old, was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the police report.

Officers provided first aid to the victim until rescue personnel arrived. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The other man in the apartment was detained as officers began their investigation. Authorities determined that the two men were involved in argument that escalated. Police claimed that one of the men, who was later identified as Brandon Tanner Hayley, retrieved a gun and fired several shots into the victim.

No other injuries or property damage was initially reported, according to the police department.
Hayley was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated malicious wounding and one count of using a firearm in commission of a felony.
His court date is pending and he is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.
