MANASSAS, VA — A 29-year-old man was shot on Sudley Road in Manassas on Monday night, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities are still looking for a suspect.

The 29-year-old victim's injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said. Rescue personnel took him to an area hospital for treatment.

Investigators have not publicly identified a suspect yet.

The shooting occurred around 11:50 p.m. in the 7100 block of Sudley Road in Manassas on Monday. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the police report. The officers said they provided first aid until rescue personnel arrived.

Investigators believe that one of the victim's acquaintances saw him in the area and fired multiple gunshots before running away. The police department claimed that the victim did not cooperate with officers about what led to the shooting or who was responsible.

A police K-9 searched the area on Monday night, but they were unable to locate the suspect.

No other injuries were reported in the shooting, but a gunshot did strike a nearby business, according to the police report. Officers also found cartridge casings in the parking lot.
