Man Sought For Assaulting Woman In Manassas: Police

Police are looking for a man who punched a woman, put her in a headlock and refused to let her leave a vehicle in Manassas: PWC Police.

MANASSAS, VA—Police are looking for a man who punched a woman, put her in a headlock and refused to let her leave a vehicle in which they were riding Tuesday in the area of Balls Ford Road and Sudley Road, according to Prince William County Police. Ryan Anthony Bumbray, 25, of the 92oo block of Champan Oak Drive in Manassas, is described as black, 5-10, 165 pounds and having brown eyes and black hair.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., police began looking into the incident. A woman said she and Bumbray, an acquaintance, were in an argument that escalated. She said he punched her, put her in a headlock and hit her again when she tried to get out of the vehicle.

She finally was able to get out, after which he briefly chased her. She flagged down officers who were dealing with an unrelated vehicle accident. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
