Man Sought For Terrorizing Woman In Bristow: Police

Authorities are looking for a man who has been stalking a woman with terror-inducing tactics in Bristow: Prince William County Police.

BRISTOW, VA—Authorities are looking for a man who has been stalking a woman with terror-inducing tactics and lied to police about his identity at her home in the 11900 block of Waterton Lake Lane, according to Prince William County Police.

Steven Edward Pace, 43, of the 12000 block of Sorrel River Way in Manassas, is described as white, 5-8, 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He's wanted for six counts of violation of an emergency protective order, one count of burglary, one count of stalking and one count of giving false identity to a law enforcement officer.

Around 1 p.m. Monday, police went to the home of the woman, 40, for a reported burglary. They found that Pace had entered the residence without permission. They also found he repeatedly has been violating an active protective order obtained by the woman. To wit:

  • He visited the residence numerous times.
  • When doing so, he left dead and live flowers.
  • He scaled a fence to gain entry into the backyard.
  • He left notes on the woman's vehicle.

Police also determined Pace was the same person they encountered earlier that day on a separate alarm call at the residence, during which he identified himself with a phony name. Attempts to find him have been unsuccessful, and anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-792-6500.
