Around 3:30 a.m., police responded to the scene to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, 48, of Nokesville, said she and Puckett were involved in an argument that turned violent. She said he threatened her with a knife and then socked her in the face before trying to prevent her from leaving the residence.
She finally was able to escape and try to leave in her vehicle. But that's when Puckett allegedly smashed one of the vehicle's windows and tried to grab her. Still, she was able to drive away and contact police. Attempts to find Puckett have been fruitless.
