Man Steals $13,000 in Jewelry From Shop in Manassas: Police

The man, later arrested by Manassas City Police, swiped the jewelry from Pink House Antiques & Collectables and is being held without bond.

MANASSAS, VA — A man stole approximately $13,000 worth of jewelry earl Monday afternoon from Pink House Antiques and Collectables at 9201 Prescott Avenue but was later arrested, according to Manassas City Police.

Walter E. Jenkins, 37, of the 7800 block of Pine Street was charged with grand larceny and is being held without bond.

Shortly before 2 p.m., police responded to the shop for a report of a theft. An employee told them an adult male entered the store and inquired about some jewelry.

When the employee stepped away from the jewelry counter to attend to another customer, Jenkins allegedly took several pieces of jewelry and fled.

He was found in the 9000 block of Centreville Road.
