Man Tries To Lure Children Into Van In Manassas

MANASSAS, VA — A man driving through a neighborhood tried to lure children into his vehicle Sunday afternoon in the 9100 block of Milic Street, according to Manassas City Police. The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, having a medium build and last seen wearing a gray or blue shirt and glasses.

Around 1:30 p.m., police responded to the scene following a report of a suspicious event. The victim said his grandchildren were playing in the front yard of the residence when, while in the garage, he saw a blue work van drive by and heard the driver ask his grandchildren if they'd like a ride. Then the victim approached the van, which fled the scene.
