Osbourn Park graduate Anthony Bratton must have felt more relieved than the rest of us when the NFL lockout ended on Monday. Just one day later, he signed with the defending Super Bowl champions Green Bay Packers as an undrafted rookie free agent.
Bratton went undrafted in April, despite accumulating 99 tackles and 2 interceptions as a safety in his senior season at the University of Delaware, according to the school's website.
Those statistics earned him first team All-CAA and All-East honors, while also garnering a third team All-American selection by The Sports Network, Associated Press, and Phil Steele College Football.

He diligently trained for nearly three months without the knowledge or guarantee that he would even land on an NFL roster until Tuesday.
Bratton ended his career as a Blue Hen with a total of 269 tackles, 19 pass breakups, and seven interceptions while leading his team to two Division I-AA National Championship games.
