Manassas City Schools Calendar 2022-23: First Day, Holidays, Key Dates

MANASSAS, VA — The summer is coming to an end for students and teachers in the City of Manassas. School will start back up on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

Whether or not you and your children are looking forward to the upcoming school year, you will want to write down the dates in your calendar as soon as possible.

Here is the full list of dates to know for the 2022-23 school year:

• Aug. 10, 2022: First day of school.
• Sept. 2-5, 2022: Labor Day holiday.
• Oct. 20, 2022: Early dismissal for students for parent-teacher conferences.
• Oct. 21, 2022: Student holiday for parent-teacher conferences.
• Nov. 8, 2022: Student holiday for Election Day.
• Nov. 11, 2022: Veterans Day, no school for students and staff.
• Nov. 23-25, 2022: Thanksgiving break.
• Dec. 16, 2022: Early dismissal for students.
• Dec. 19, 2022-Jan. 2, 2023: Winter break.
• Jan. 3, 2023: Teacher workday, no school for students.
• Jan. 16, 2023: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, no school for students and staff.
• Jan. 30, 2023: Professional development day, no school for students.
• Feb. 9-10, 2023: Early dismissal for students for parent-teacher conferences.
• Feb. 20, 2023: Presidents' Day.
• March 17, 2023: Teacher workday, no school for students.
• April 3-7, 2023: Spring break.
• April 10, 2023: Easter Monday holiday, no school for students.
• May 29, 2023: Memorial Day.
• May 30-31, 2023: Early dismissal for students.
• May 31, 2023: Last day of school.
