Manassas Concert To Benefit 5-Year-Old Who Lost His Mother
Family members are holding a benefit concert at Sinistral Brewing Co. in Manassas to raise money for a 5-year-old who lost his mother.

MANASSAS, VA — Family members will host a benefit concert Sept. 27 at Sinistral Brewing Co. in Manassas to raise money for a local 5-year-old boy whose mother died suddenly last month. The event, to be held outside, will include five musical acts, corn hole, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction and a guitar auction.
The cover charge for the event, Benefit for Liam, is $10 for adults, $5 for teens and free for kids younger than 10. Donations also will be accepted at the event. The first 100 people will receive a souvenir silicone bracelet upon entry. A Jambalaya Bros. food truck will be at the event.
"I decided to hold this benefit concert because I am heavily involved in the local music scene, and I desperately wanted to do something to help the family," Jaclyn Groller, Liam Belcher's aunt, told Patch in an email. "Knowing so many in the music scene, I thought I might be able to pull off an event to raise money. Liam is only 5 and has a lifetime of expenses."

After the death of his mother Charlotte Belcher, Liam is now living with his grandmother. Groller, who is six months pregnant, recalled that her sister-in-law was excited to learn that Groller was going to have a baby boy.
Groller said she called upon music friends to see if they would be available to play at the benefit concert for Liam. "A few calls and messages was all it took, and everyone said yes they would help in any way they could," she said.
