Manassas Farmers Markets To Open For Season At 2 Locations
Two weekly farmers markets will return to downtown Manassas for the season with a variety of food and non-food products.

MANASSAS, VA — When it comes to farmers markets with local products, two is better than one.
The two farmers markets run by Historic Manassas Inc. are preparing to open for the season in April. The Thursday market will happen weekly from April 11 to Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Harris Pavilion, 9201 Center St., Manassas, VA. The Saturday market will begin April 13 through Nov. 23 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Prince William Street Commuter Lot, 9024 Prince William St., Manassas, VA. The farmers markets operate rain or shine.
The Saturday market coincides with Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger's Saturday walks with the mayor, which start at 8:30 a.m. at Osbourn High School and head to the farmers market. The mayor will also participate in a "pick of the week" to help a different vendor each week for a half hour. Vendors' names are put in a bowl and selected for each week's market.
