Manassas First Fridays Returns To Downtown In 2024

March marks the kickoff of First Friday block parties in downtown Manassas. Residents should be aware of road closures during the events.

MANASSAS, VA — While it's not quite time for warmer weather yet, Manassas residents can enjoy the returning First Friday block parties starting in March.

The initial First Friday block party of 2024 will happen Friday, March 1. Manassas will close several streets in historic downtown from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for pedestrian use during First Friday events. During First Fridays, restaurants typically offer special food and drinks, and retail stores may extend hours.

According to Manassas City Police, sections of Center Street (Route 28 North), West Street, Battle Street, and Main Street will be closed in downtown from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. during First Friday. Parking restrictions will also be in effect from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

A few options for public parking are the Church Street lot, Harris Pavilion lot, Candy Factory lot, City Hall lot, Water Tower lot, Train Depot lot, Museum lot and Baldwin Park lot. See a map of parking locations and restrictions on public parking hours.
