Manassas Man Charged With Possessing, Distributing Child Porn

A Manasas man is facing child pornography charges after he was arrested Tuesday by a regional law enforcement task force.

David Alexander Battle II, 23, has been charged with one count of distribution of child pornography and nine counts of possession of child pornography, second or subsequent offense, according to the Manassas City Police Department. He’s being held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, and has a pending date of July 23 in Prince William General District Court.

Battle was identified through a month-long investigation and interviews conducted by police detectives working with tne Northern Virginia-Washington, D.C., Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The investigation focused on the exploitation of children over the Internet, the city police said.

As part of the investigation, detectives with the task force removed numerous items from Battle’s residence in the 9800 block of Buckner Road under a search warrant executed Tuesday. Thje city police did not say what kind of items were seized.
