Manassas Man Charged With Rape Of 16-Year-Old Girl: Police
A 34-year-old Manassas man was arrested on Tuesday and charged with rape.
MANASSA, VA – A 34-year-old Manassas man has been arrested and charged with raping a 16-year-old former co-worker, police say.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, detectives arrested Edgar Jose Mendoza, 34, of Manassas, on Tuesday in connection with a reported sexual assault dating to March.
Police say on March 15, at about 6 p.m., Mendoza went to a residence on Breeden Hall Court in Bristow to meet a 16-year-old former coworker of his. During the pre-arranged meeting, they say, Mendoza assaulted the girl. Police didn’t say when the assault was reported, but say the victim was not injured.

Mendoza is charged with rape by threat or force and is being held in custody and has a hearing scheduled for Sept. 25.
