Manassas Man Charged With Rape Of Girl, 12: Police

MANASSAS, VA — Prince William County police detectives are investigating a sexual assault involving a Manassas man and a 12-year-old girl, according to a police report. The man was arrested after the detectives, from the department's Special Victims Unit, responded Thursday morning to the report of the assault, which occurred in Bristow.

Cristian Flores Hernandez, 21, of 7859 Community Drive, was charged with rape, the police said. He's being held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, and his next court date is pending.

The detectives determined that Hernandez, an acquaintance, "had an inappropriate relationship" with the victim, the report added.
