Manassas Man Dies In Single Vehicle Crash Near Route 880

FAUQUIER COUNTY, VA — Virginia State Police are investigating an Aug. 14 crash in Fauquier County that left a Manassas man dead. The crash happened on Route 882 about one-tenth of a mile from Route 880, police said.

According to police, a box truck driven by Tyler J. Dupuy, 25, was traveling south on Route 882 at about 6:42 p.m. when the truck went off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment and several trees. The vehicle continued across the left side of the roadway and struck another embankment before coming to a stop.

Dupuy was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, police said. Investigation into the crash continues.
