Manassas Man Sentenced Over 2023 Fentanyl, Methamphetamines Bust

MANASSAS, VA – A Manassas man has been sentenced by a Loudoun County court to 10 years in prison for his role in a drug distribution plot.

William Christopher Callaway, 36, was sentenced by a Loudoun County Circuit judge on Thursday to 10 years in prison for his role in a plan to sell methamphetamines and fentanyl in Virginia.

He had pleaded guilty to 1 count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, 1 count of attempted possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, 1 count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl, and 2 counts of conspiracy to transport methamphetamine into the state.

Callaway’s partner in the scheme, Ann Sue Hyun Lee, 39, of Sterling, was sentenced in 2024 to 14 years on similar charges. According to the Loudoun County Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, Lee got a longer sentence because of her criminal history.

According to the commonwealth’s attorney, police saw Callaway take a package from a Loudoun County apartment complex and get into Lee’s vehicle. When they stopped the vehicle, they found 2 pounds of methamphetamine, 1,000 pills containing fentanyl, and $16,000 in cash.

“We hope that these sentences send a strong message that dealing fentanyl and other lethal drugs will not be tolerated in Loudoun County,” Commonwealth’s Attorney Bob Anderson said in a press release.

Judge Randy Bellows noted that he was sentencing Callaway to more time than current guidelines suggest because of the volume of drugs Callaway possessed and the danger of those drugs.
