Jermaine Terry, Sr., and a 13-year-old boy were arrested and face charges after an argument in which local police say the boy stabbed Terry.

MANASSAS, VA – Two Manassas residents, including a 13-year-old boy, were arrested over the weekend after becoming involved in a domestic assault that resulted in one of the suspects being stabbed, police said Monday.

The 13-year-old boy and Jermaine M. Terry, 37, both of Manassas, were arrested just after 10 p.m. on Saturday in the 9800 block of McGill Court following the incident, police said. Prince William County Police detained the 13-year-old outside of the home in which they found Terry with stab wounds. Terry was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries before he was charged in the incident. Police have not revealed the identity of the juvenile involved in the incident.

According to police, Terry and the boy began to argue before the altercation escalated and police said Terry grabbed the boy before another family member became involved. Police said a 38-year-old woman separated the boy from Terry, Sr. before Terry, Sr. and the woman began to argue. During the altercation, police said that Terry, Sr., hit the woman and then pushed her. The 13-year-old boy then separated the couple and police said he stabbed Terry, Sr., during the argument before leaving the home where he was found by officers.
