Manassas Man Thrown From Truck, Killed In Crash: Police

A pickup truck driven by a Maryland woman went off the road, rolled over and a Manassas man was fatally injured, state police said.

MANASSAS, VA — A Manassas man died Friday afternoon when the pickup truck he was riding in collided with another truck and overturned in Fauquier County. Brian Recinos, 19, of Manassas, Va., was not wearing a seat-belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He died at the scene from his injuries, Virginia State Police say.

A 2000 Ford F-450 pickup truck was northbound on Rt. 612 (Brent Town Road) about half a mile north of Route 610 when the driver ran off the road, over-corrected, crossed a center line and struck a southbound 2013 Ford F-150 pickup. The Ford F-450 then ran off of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

The driver of the Ford F-450, Brayan E. Moreira-Saravia, 19, of Brandywine, Maryland, suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said. Moreira-Saravia was wearing a seat-belt.

The driver of the Ford F-150, a 31-year-old man from Virginia Beach, was wearing a seatbelt and was not hurt in the crash. Authorities have not released his name.

Moreira-Saravia was charged with reckless driving failure to maintain proper control.
