FAUQUIER COUNTY, VA — The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Manassas man on Wednesday on felony hit-and-run charges. The man also is wanted in connection with a robbery in Manassas last October.

As the other vehicle attempted to pull off the roadway, Allen rammed the vehicle, causing it to go off the road and through a fence, the sheriff’s office said.

Allen fled on foot from his vehicle. Sheriff’s deputies, along with the Virginia State Police K9 Unit and the Fairfax Aviation Unit, assisted with a search.

Allen was later found and taken into custody. He was taken to Fauquier Hospital for medical treatment for minor injuries sustained in the crash and was later released.

Two of the occupants of the other car were treated on the scene, and a third occupant was taken to UVA Haymarket Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Allen was wanted in Prince William County for an incident that occurred on Oct. 21, when Prince William County officers responded to the 7500 block of Bell Grae Dr. in Manassas to investigate a robbery.

The victim, a 57-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as Allen, were sitting in her car when they started to argue.

The argument escalated into violence as Allen struck the victim in her face before pushing her out of the vehicle and onto the ground, where he then kicked her, police said. He fled the scene in the victim's vehicle. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.

Following an investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for Allen. Attempts to find him, though, were unsuccessful until the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office arrested him on Wednesday.
