Manassas Man Wins $300K From VA Lottery Scratcher
A man from Manassas won $300,000 from the Virginia Lottery after he and his wife scratched off the Jumbo Cash game's top prize.

MANASSAS, VA — A Manassas man won $300,000 from the Virginia Lottery's Jumbo Cash game last month.
Gary Freas won the scratch-off game's top prize with his wife after purchasing a ticket from the 7-Eleven on Godwin Drive in Manassas.
"It's pretty unbelievable," Freas told lottery officials as he claimed his giant check.

Freas noted that he might use his winnings to remodel his house.
Freas's winning ticket was the second top prize in the Jumbo Cash game. One top prize ticket is still unclaimed, the Virginia Lottery said.

The chances of winning the top prize are 1 in 816,000. The chances of winning any prize in the $300,000 Jumbo Cash game are 1 in 3.79.
In Virginia, proceeds from the lottery support education efforts throughout the state. Last fiscal year, the City of Manassas received $7.4 million from the Virginia Lottery for educational efforts.
