Manassas Mom Indicted For Murder In Husband's Death: Report

MANASSAS, VA — A Manassas mother who was arrested in October and charged with fatally shooting her husband has been indicted for murder, according to a report citing court documents.

LaToya Crabbe, 35, was indicted by a Prince William County grand jury last week on charges including second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the death of her husband, 36-year-old Curtis Crabbe, WTOP reported.

LaToya Crabbe was arrested on Oct. 21 after police responded to a shooting at her home in the 9200 block of Brinkley Lane. When police arrived, they found Curtis Crabbe suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

LaToya Crabbe was charged with second-degree murder and taken to Prince William County Adult Detention Center, where she was held without bond.

According to WTOP's report, LaToya Crabbe said she shot her husband in self-defense after he threatened her and their children. Prosecutors rebuffed her claim, stating she reloaded the weapon during the shooting, WTOP reported.
