Manassas Park In Running for Free Dog Park

A company that makes wireless fences and other products for pets is offering a $100,000 grant to one lucky community to build a dog park.

Cities and towns around the country are vying for the grant from PetSafe, the Knoxville, Tenn., company that is running the Bark for Your Park contest. The competitors in Northern Virginia include Manassas Park, Fairfax, Centreville and Vienna.

The company is asking dog lovers - and everyone else - to go to the Bark for Your Park website and vote for their hometown. The winning community will get a wide open place for their pet to run and play.
