Manassas Teen Dies In New Year's Eve Crash On I-81: Police
A 19-year-old woman from Manassas died on New Year's Eve when her minivan ran off a highway and hit a tree in Augusta County, police said.
MANASSAS, VA — A Manassas woman died in a single-vehicle crash in Augusta County on New Year's Eve, Virginia State Police officials announced on Tuesday.
Authorities identified the woman as 19-year-old Adelyne Barr.
The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on Saturday evening on I-81 in Augusta County. Investigators said Barr was driving a 2004 Mazda MPV minivan northbound on the highway.

Near mile marker 236, her minivan left the roadway, went into the median, hit a ditch, and collided with a tree, police said. Barr died at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
