Manassas Teen Killed At First Friday Shooting Identified, 1 Shooter At Large: Police

MANASSAS, VA – A vigil was held on Monday for the Manassas teen killed in what police say was crossfire from an exchange of shots between two men.

The girl, 16-year-old Ashley Intihar, was a student at Patriot High School in Nokesville, according to Potomac Local News. Manassas Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger spoke at the vigil, which drew dozens of people to the Harris Pavilion on Monday afternoon, the Prince William Times reports.

Tasheem Douglas, 21, of Prince William County was arrested in connection with the shooting. He was also injured in the shooting. He is charged with second-degree murder, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon. Manassas police have called Douglas a "convicted felon." Manassas City Police say there was a second shooter. They say Intihar was struck as two men exchanged fire near the Foster's Grill restaurant by the train depot. As of Saturday, Manassas police said the shooter remained at large, and the department has not issued any updates on the case.
