On the Road
On Friday morning, all lanes of Constitution Avenue NW near 16th Street were blocked by police activity.

Throughout the morning, police activity shut down both directions of F Street SE between Alabama Avenue and 46th Street.
Around 7:20 a.m., there was a crash on I-395 near Edsall Road. Drivers should stay alert on the right side of the roadway by the crash.
Around 7:08 a.m., a crash on northbound US-29 blocked the right side of the roadway near Lees Mill Road.
Around 6:20 a.m., a crash was reported on US-15 at Waverly Farm Road.
On The Rails
Expect delays on the Silver Line to the Wiehle-Reston East Station due to a disabled train at Federal Triangle, Metro said.
On the Orange Line, the Minnesota Ave, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover and New Carrollton remain closed through Labor Day due to a summer platform improvement project. Local and express shuttles are available at Stadium-Armory.

High temperatures in the area are expected to reach 88 degrees with clouds rolling in later in the day.
