Michael Anthony Giddens, 56

Michael Anthony Giddens, 56, of Manassas, VA, passed away on September 24, 2014 at the George Washington University Hospital, DC.

The son of Otha B. and Helen M. (deceased) Giddens Jr. was born April 13, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York.

Michael had attended New York City public schools at an early age and went to college at Virginia State University in Petersburg VA. He obtained a degree in Business Administration.

As a young man he attended Antioch Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY. Later on in life he moved to the Northern Virginia area, where he resided permanently in Manassas, VA. While living in Manassas he joined First Baptist Church.

Left to cherish precious memories are his father; two sons, Anthony Michael of Manassas Park and Brandon Gil of Manassas, VA.

Survivors also include one brother, Carl C. Gidden (Christal J.) of Columbia SC; one sister Barbara Parker of Trenton NJ; Two Aunts ; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held in the First Baptist Church, 9258 Center St., Manassas, VA 20110 at 11:00am on Friday, Oct. 3.

Family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Carl C. Giddens at 3829 Padgett Rd., Columbia, SC 29209 in a money order to help defray costs.
