Missing Gainesville Man Made 'Concerning Statements,' Police Say

Authorities in Prince William County are asking for the public's help locating a man who went missing from his home in Gainesville.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A man from Gainesville made "concerning statements" and is now missing, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Now, authorities area asking for the public's help locating the missing man.

Joshua Javier Reed left his home on Misty Acres Lane around 3 a.m. on Monday morning, police said. Authorities noted that Reed made "concerning statements" before leaving his home.

Reed may be driving a black 2008 Chevrolet Corvette with Virginia tags "1RNMAN." Though he is missing voluntarily, police believe he may be in need of assistance, so Reed is considered endangered.

Reed is described as a white man who is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, police said.
