Motorcycle Driver Dies In Sunday Crash: Virginia State Police

Witnesses reported seeing the motorcyclist weaving in and out of traffic before the crash on the Prince William County interstate.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash that occurred on a Prince William County interstate over the weekend. Police said a male motorcyclist died at the scene of the Sept. 1 crash on Interstate 95, though his identity has not yet been released.

Witnesses reported seeing a Suzuki motorcycle traveling southbound on I-95. They also said the motorcycle was weaving in and out of traffic before it collided with a BMW sedan just after 7:30 p.m., according to police.

The impact of the crash ejected the driver from the motorcycle, police said. The driver and passenger in the BMW were not injured. Prince William County Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene, and the Virginia State Police Fairfax Division Crash Reconstruction is assisting with the crash investigation.
