Motorcycle Driver Killed In Collision With Dump Truck On Prince William Parkway: Police

A Prince William County man was killed in the collision on Wednesday night, police say.

MANASSAS, VA – The driver of a motorcycle was killed Wednesday night when he ran into a dump truck on Prince William Parkway in Manassas, Prince William County police said Thursday.

According to the Prince William County Police Department, officers responded to the area of Prince William Parkway and Nokesville Road in Manassas at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday. They say that a 2008 Kenworth dump truck and a 2011 Suzuki GSX-R750 were both traveling eastbound on the parkway when the Suzuki, traveling at a high rate of speed, ran into the back of the dump truck.

Officers at the scene rendered first aid to the Suzuki driver, identified as Alberto Aviles, 37, of Nokesville, but he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the driver of the dump truck was a 34-year-old woman from Manassas.
