Motorcyclist Dies In Collision With SUV In Bristow: Police

A motorcyclist died in a crash early Sunday morning when a driver of an SUV collided with the motorcycle in Bristow, the police said.

BRISTOW, VA — A motorcyclist died in a crash early Sunday morning when a driver of an SUV collided with the motorcycle when he was turning left from Devlin Road in Bristow, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The motorcycle driver, Mohammad Siraj Ul Haque, 30, of Bristow was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

At 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Prince William County police went to the area of Devlin Road and Fog Light Way in Bristow to investigate the crash. The police determined that the driver of a 2006 Ford Expedition, a 52-year-old man from Bristow, was traveling northbound on Devlin Rd. when he attempted a left turn onto Fog Light Way.

The vehicle "crossed paths and collided with the operator of a 2009 Honda CBR 600RR, who was traveling southbound on Devlin Rd.," the police department said.

The driver of the Ford Expedition was also transported to an area hospital where he has since been treated for injuries and released. Three other passengers were inside the Expedition at the time of the collision but were not injured, according to the police.

The police department said it is continuing its investigation into the crash.
