Neighborhood Watch Training Tuesday in Manassas

Neighborhood Watch training for Prince William County residents is Tuesday in Manassas. Prince William County Police will provide tips.

MANASSAS, VA — What with the recent surge in thieves rummaging through cars at night, this is an opportune time to attend Tuesday's Neighborhood Watch training session put on by Prince William County Police. It begins 7 p.m. at the Paul T. White Jr. Western District Station, 8900 Freedom Center Boulevard, and should last about an hour.

The topics will include crime reporting, emergency preparedness, "watch" patrolling, active violence and a question-and-answer segment. Police say the session would be helpful for a new coordinator taking over an existing "Watch." There also will be advice on how everyone in a neighborhood can become more active in keeping a keen eye for suspicious activity.
