New Deputy Director of Public Works Selected
Bruce Goudarzi comes to the City with more than 30 years of government experience in the public works arena.

The City of Manassas announces the hiring of Bruce Goudarzi as the Deputy Director of Public Works. Goudarzi comes to the City with more than 30 years of government experience in the public works arena. His most recent position was with Fairfax County where he served as the Deputy Director of Utilities Design and Construction Division.
“Bruce will be a welcome addition to the staff at Public Works and Utilities,” said Director Michael Moon. “With his extensive knowledge and background he can hit the ground running and will be an asset for the City.”

In his more than 28-year career with Fairfax County, Goudarzi worked up from Senior Engineer, to Branch Chief of the Transportation and Stormwater Construction Division, to Deputy Director. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Detroit Institute of Technology and a Masters Degree from Michigan State University. Goudarzi is a licensed Professional Engineer.
“I’m looking forward to putting my experience to work in the City of Manassas,” said Goudarzi. His first day of work with the City of Manassas will be Monday, Oct. 6, 2014.
