One Dead After Fatal Car Crash In Nokesville: Police
An 83-year-old woman is dead after a car crash on Fleetwood Drive in Nokesville on Wednesday, according to Prince William County Police.
MANASSAS, VA —An 83-year-old woman died on Wednesday after a car crash on Fleetwood Drive in Nokesville, police said. Police identified the victim as Joyce Evelyn Smith of Fairfax.
On Wednesday afternoon, police were called to the area of Fleetwood Drive near Hazelwood Drive to investigate a two-vehicle crash, according to a news release from the Prince William County Police Department. The crash involved a 2008 Toyota Rav-4 and a 1994 Mack truck.
Smith was driving the Toyota Rav-4 northbound on Fleetwood Drive. Her SUV drifted over the road's center line, and she struck the Mack truck head on, according to authorities.

Smith was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Mack truck did not suffer any injuries, police said.
Fleetwood Drive was closed for several hours on Wednesday while police investigated the crash. Authorities did not disclose any other possible causes for the crash.
