One Dead, Two Injured in Shooting Overnight in Gainesville
Year's third murder in county. Prince William County Police searching for suspect. One victim's injuries described as life threatening.
One man was killed and two others were injured in a shooting overnight in Gainesville, according to Prince William County Police. The suspect has not been located.
This is the third murder in Prince William County in 2015.
Police responded at 1:50 a.m. Saturday to the area of Old Linton Hall Road and Charis Avenue. They found two victims in a nearby parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds.

Detectives say the shootings stemmed from a physical altercation, but the relationship between the shooting suspect and the victims is still being investigated.
Both men were transported to an area hospital where one victim died. He was identified as a 23-year-old from Gainesville. A second victim, 22, of Bristow, has life-threatening injuries.

A third man, 24, of Manassas, had a minor graze wound to a hand.
The suspect left the scene following the shooting, possibly in a light colored SUV.
The suspect is described as a black male with dreads, he was wearing a white shirt and sweatpants.
