Osbourn Wins Again

The Osbourn boys basketball team beat Woodbridge Monday night and remain undefeated for the season.

The Eagles team traveled to Woodbridge on Monday night to take on the Vikings in a non-district match-up.

Osbourn came into the game having won their first four games and knew it would be a tough contest against the Vikings.

Osbourn's core group of seniors quickly took over the game. By the time it was all said and done, Osbourn ran away with a 78-54 victory to improve 5-0 for the season.

The Eagles jumped out early and it was one of those games in which Osbourn was in control from the opening tip.

The Eagles are a team that thrives on great defense and running to score in transition. That is exactly what they were able to do against Woodbridge with 16 steals as a team.

The Eagles once again got a balanced output from multiple players. They were led by Cedrick Delaney and Raphael Edwards who each tallied 18 points. Corey Bedford also had a solid game with 16 points while Jay Lane chipped in with 12. Edwards also grabbed 11 rebounds to go along with his 18 points, giving him a double-double.

This game was another example as to why Osbourn is such a tough match-up; they have multiple weapons that can take over the game at any time.

Osbourn will look for another win as they host the Yellow Jackets of Osbourn Park (OP) on Wednesday night at 7:30.

Osbourn beat OP earlier in the season on the road and will be looking to sweep the regular season match-ups between the two teams at home on Wednesday.
