The Osbourn (7-3, 3-1) football team wrapped up their regualr season as they cruised to a 38-3 victory over Freedom-South Riding (1-8, 0-3).
The Eagles jumped out to a quick 28-0 lead in the first quarter. After piling on a quick 10 points in the second quarter to extend the lead to 38-0, Head Coach Steve Schultze slowed it down a bit.
"We jumped out early and it was nice to get some of the younger guys into the game," Schultze said. "They have been working hard all season too and they were excited to play on a Friday night, it was good."

With the absence of senior running back Cedrick Delaney, who did not play due to a hamstring injury, senior Robert Carter and junior Connor Lane led the Eagles offensively.
Carter started the scoring with a 35 yard touchdown run and ended the game with 45 rushing yards on only three attempts. Lane added the next touchdown on a 24 yard scamper, ending the night with 54 yards on the ground over 6 carries. He was also a perfect 8-8 through the air for 84 yards and one touchdown.

"With Cedrick out, we had some guys really step up. Robert did a good job and Anthony Diamond has really been playing well for us lately," Schultze said.
Diamond ended the game as Osbourn's leading receiver with four catches for 69 yards.
The Osbourn defense played a stingy game, allowing only four first downs and surrendering three points, which came in the fourth quarter.
Osbourn has secured a spot in the playoffs, but because their last game of the season is a bye week, they will have to wait for their seeding.
"I think we are in a good spot. We get a week to rest and prepare before heading into the postseason, we just have to wait and see who we play," Schultze concluded.
