Patch Picks: Great Ethnic Restaurants in the Area

Test your taste buds on one of these yummy places to eat.


Mexican

La Capilla – seated in the heart of Old Town on Main Street this is a Mexican fine dining experience. They’re only open for dinner except on Tuesdays through Thursdays when they deliver lunch. Keep in mind the establishment is closed Sundays and Mondays. Bring in your own bottle of wine and pair it with one of their main courses like shredded pork Cochinita Pibil, Duck Carintas Tacos, or marinated chicken Pollo en Mole Poblano. Indian

– located on Centreville Road and specialize in Indian cuisine. Their menu is huge with everything from starters, salads, chicken, lamb, vegetables, a wide variety of bread  and dessert. They’ve also recently increased their seating capacity to accommodate a patio in the back of the restaurant.

Asian and Mediterranean

– this fun little noodle spot is just that: a smorgasbord of pasta-based entrees prepared to the customer’s taste. The kids can even enjoy with their scrumptious Mac-n-Cheese dish. They’re located on Liberia Avenue.

 

Italian

– if you’re interested in spending a romantic evening out with delicious Italian food, you’ll want to go here. They have antipasti, zuppe, insalate, and pasta dishes featuring mozzarella, capellini, tortellini and more.  You’ll find them on Mathis Avenue.

 

Southwest

– grab a bite of southwest grill-style food on Galveston Court. Indulge in juicy burritos, fajitas, tacos and more. This is a great place to grab a beer or a margarita, too! And who doesn’t love a good serving of chips and salsa? Yum!
