Peacekeeper Attacked At Manassas Party: Police

A man trying to play the role of peacekeeper during a fight instead was attacked and beaten at a Manassas party: PWC Police.

MANASSAS, VA—A man trying to play the role of peacekeeper during a fight instead was attacked and beaten Sunday during a party in the 7600 block of Lake Drive, according to Prince William County Police. Arrested was John Cicero, 20, of the 7800 block of Oak Street in Manassas, was charged with unlawful wounding.

The victim, 19, of Bristow, was at the party when he intervened in a fight between several other party goers. That's when he was assaulted, including being punched in the back of his head, and fell to the ground. After that, he was seriously injured after being struck in the face.

He went to a local hospital for treatment, and police obtained a warrant for Harmon, who turned himself in Tuesday.
