Pedestrian Hit By 2 Cars In Manassas Died On Saturday: Police

A man who was hit by two cars on Sudley Road in Manassas on Friday night died as a result of his injuries on Saturday, police said.

MANASSAS, VA — A man died after he was hit by two cars in Manassas on Friday evening, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

The man, Juan Torres Lizama, died on Saturday at an area hospital.

Police identified the two drivers that hit Torres Lizama as a 27-year-old man from Manassas Park and a 30-year-old man from Alexandria. Authorities have not charged either driver.

The crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Friday near Sudley Road and Stream Walk Lane in Manassas.

Investigators said a 2020 Ford Escape was driving southbound when it hit a pedestrian who was trying to cross Sudley Road. A second car, a 2010 Toyota Prius, then hit the pedestrian.

Both drivers stayed at the scene of the crash, police said.

First responders took Torres Lizama to the hospital, where he died on Saturday. Authorities said he was not in a crosswalk when the cars hit him.

Investigators believe that speed, alcohol, and drugs were not factors for the drivers.
