Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Overnight

A pedestrian walking along a Nokesville road has died after being struck by a car overnight, according to Prince William County Police.

The man, whose name has not been released, was found by police at 2:49 a.m. Monday in the area of Vint Hill and Broadlands roads. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police do not have a description of the vehicle involved in the incident, according to spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

“The vehicle was possibly headed west on Vint Hill Rd towards Fauquier County and should have extensive front end damage, possibly to the front passenger side,” Perok said.

Additional information is expected to be released later Monday.
