Person Rescued From Burning Building in Manassas Park: Fire & Rescue

Because Manassas Park units already were at another scene, Manassas Fire & Rescue took the lead, saved the person and doused the fire.

MANASSAS, VA — A person was rescued from a fire late Saturday night and immediately transported to a nearby hospital, according to Manassas Fire & Rescue.

Shortly before 11 p.m., units responded to reports of a structure fire in Manassas Park. Because Manassas Park units were already involved with another call, Manassas firefighters took the lead, extinguished the fire and treated the person at the scene before transport to the hospital.

“It is through circumstances such as this, when firefighters and officers use their training to enter a hazardous situation, that we achieve a positive outcome,” said City of Manassas Chief of Fire & Rescue Rob Clemons.
