MANASSAS, VA — Prince William County police arrested a man in connection with robbery of tools from a Best Western in Manassas. During their investigation of the Best Western robbery, police said they found new information that also tied the suspect, Dominic Xavier Guerrero, 23, to the theft of goods from both the Manassas and Woodbridge Home Depot stores.

Guerrero is suspected of robbing the Best Western, on Balls Ford Road, on Tuesday at 8:51 p.m. A hotel employee found Guerrero inside an outdoor shed allegedly trying to steal tools. The employee and a co-worker confronted Guerrero, who then assaulted both of them before fleeing in a vehicle, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The employees reported minor injuries.

As he was fleeing, Guerrero of Manassas dropped indentifying information that the police picked up. On Wednesday, an off-duty police officer saw Guerrero's vehicle on Wortham Crest Circle, with the suspect inside. On-duty officers made a traffic stop and arrested Guerrero without incident.
