MANASSAS, VA - The Manassas police say they've received calls from city businesses about unidentified individuals performing unauthorized water pipe inspections under the guise of the Manassas City Utilities Department.
The individuals have stopped by, sometimes in pairs, claiming to represent a local water provider and asking to inspect the property, the police said. In some cases, these impostors have even demanded money on the spot.
