Police: Gang Members Wanted for Stabbing in Manassas

The assailants were acquaintances of the victim and known gang members, according to Prince William County Police.

Two Manassas teenagers are wanted for stabbing and armed robbery, according to Prince William County Police. The police department is searching for the two suspects who assaulted a man on the 10900 block of Coverstone Drive around 4:34 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25.

The suspects have been described as 17-year-old and 15-year-old Manassas men, according to police. Police say they have identified them as local gang members.

Both teens are accused of aggravated malicious wounding, stabbing while in commission of a felony, gang participation and related charges.

During an investigation, police found that the 18-year-old victim was stabbed during a fight with the two suspects. One of the suspects attempted to take the victim’s necklace during the fight. A fourth man, a 17-year-old boy and friend of the victim, tried to intervene. The 17-year-old suspect allegedly attempted to stab the victim’s friend, but did not make contact, police report.

The victim was stabbed multiple times and seriously injured. Friends took him to a local hospital and called the police there.

Detectives have obtained charges against and are currently looking for both assailants.
