Police: Manassas Man Found Dead on D.C. Street

25-year-old man had been shot to death, says Metropolitan Police Department.

Police in Washington, D.C., are investigating the shooting death of a 25-year-old Manassas man on Sunday.

Officers responded at about 9 a.m. to a report of the discovery of an unconscious man suffering from gunshot wounds in the unit block of Galveston Place SW. They found the body of Rodney Delonte Davis, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

His remains were transported to the Distirct of Columbia’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy was scheduled.

As the investigation continues, anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Metropolitan Police Department at (202) 727-9099. Anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
