On Sunday, police detectives began an investigation of the attempted abduction, reported to have occurred between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on June 24. The victim, a juvenile from Manassas, told police that on that date, she was followed to an alleyway on Community Drive by an unknown man. He then grabbed the victim’s wrist, the police said.

A witness saw the incident, and the suspect left the area without further contact, the police said. Detectives tracked down Marroquin and arrested him without incident.
