PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – There are 6,225 total cases of the new coronavirus in Prince William County as of Tuesday morning, according to the Virginia Department of Health, with 521 hospitalizations and 111 deaths.
To date, the Prince William Health District has had 15 coronavirus outbreaks. There are 153 coronavirus cases associated with an outbreak, and 277 confirmed cases in healthcare workers.
Virginia now has 39,342 total confirmed cases of the coronavirus, with 4,325 hospitalizations and 1,236 deaths as of Tuesday morning.

SCHOOLS
All schools in Virginia are closed through the rest of the academic year for in-person teaching in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
In-person high school graduations for Prince William County Public schools have been scheduled for August, school officials have announced. High schools principals have recommended graduation ceremony dates of Aug. 4, 5, 6 and 7. Specific dates and time will be decided in the next few weeks, school officials said. MORE

Northern Virginia leaders say the region has met four of six criteria for the first phase of reopening, but did not request another delay in a letter to Gov. Ralph Northam.
